My New Favorite?

I haven’t played WoW much lately. Started with being swamped with too many things I needed to do, plus the tiredness from driving through San Mateo bridge during the Bay Bridge closure.

Then there was this new game that was release just about a week ago:

It’s a RPG game (Non-MMO) which means I have to deal with zero human. I’ve been looking at some “alternative” to WoW for quite some time. Was thinking about Demon’s Souls on PS3 but I heard it wasn’t that forgiving and could be too tough for me.

Anyhow, I picked up Dragon Age Origins (PC version) and got a chance to play it over the weekend. Without going into details, I must say this game is really satisfying, at least for me.

As for WoW, my guild doesn’t really do well since we are half casual. I’ll probably log on to play with them from time to time (there is no attendance requirement) and most likely do hard mode stuff with a small group of friends (and also better players in guild.)

I must say DA could be my new favorite (of the month.) Heh…

buycom_onamazonWas looking at some memory card reader on Amazon.com earlier today and I found something strange on the site. The item I was looking at was being offered by Buy.com.

I thought they were major competitors. … Strange things always happen.

Oh Good!

Finally, Bay Bridge reopens just after 9 this morning! Yay!

Though, I had to come to work early so I used San Mateo bridge route. But now that my bridge is back, I should be a little happier.

Dear CalTrans

baybridgeI hate you.

Give me back my bridge, please. Also, give me back my time spending on your “alternate  routes.” Free toll when Bay Bridge is back to service would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Me.

The Bay Bridge

Bay Bridge was closed since last night and have no sign to be reopened just yet. Some metal stuff supposed to be the parts they used for fixing the bridge over the labor day weekend in September fell off yesterday evening. So today, I spent 2 hours from around 6am – 8am driving to work and again about 2 hours on my way back… I’m just tired.

And look at this headline over at SFGate.com:  Bridge parts couldn’t take the wind. What a lame ass excuse Caltrans came up with…

Bridge parts couldn’t take the wind

SF’s Market Street

A change is coming to Market street in San Franciso tomorrow. The street will be closed to private vehicles from 10th street to the Ferry Building. Based on SFGate.com, this is a test though. So we will see how it goes.

Overly Easy?

On Tuesday night, after our semi-sucky 25-man raid, a group of my in-game friend and some guildies went to the 10-man version of Trial of the Crusader (came with patch 3.2 and had all bosses available that day.) For the past few weeks, we have done other bosses and they all just seemed easy. I guess this is true to the last boss, too.

My favorite Warcraft III Hero Character, Anub’arak the Crypt Lord, somehow got resurrected (again) by the Lich King  and made him the last boss of this new raid instance. Anyway, we read nd some info on him off the internet and gave it a try… and killed him in our 3rd attempt.

I just feel like it’s a bit on the easy side. The whole instance has only 5 encounters, though, you could actually do the Hard Mode version (Trial of the Grand Crusader) which we tried and it wasn’t as easy. I guess it could take us a while since all of us probably don’t have the right gear for this. But maybe if we really spend more time, we might be able to do it. That night it was just so late when we finished off Anub’arak.

Anyway, here is the nicely organized shot of the last boss kill we managed to have.
